What Launchpad understands
Dates and times, alarms, repeats/recurring events, plans, people, phone numbers and flights, in all the app's languages.
Where information you type in Launchpad can go
- A to-do on your To-Do/On Deck list.
- An event, when there's a day or time, such as "Dentist Friday at 3pm". Words like "flight to Lisbon" make it a flight.
- A plan's task, note or date, when you name the plan, such as "Lisbon trip: book hotel", or In a plan… to choose one.
- A note on someone's page, when you name someone in People.
- A new person, when it looks like a name with a phone number or email.
- An alarm, when you write "alarm", "wake me" or similar, or just a time.
- A Journal entry, for longer thoughts.
Alarms
- "alarm" with no further input defaults to 7:00, like a new alarm.
- "alarm at 7" rings once (it doesn't repeat unless you set it to).
- A bare number is the time: "alarm 7", "alarm for 7 30", "alarm 6.30". For a number from 1 to 11, the first suggestion is a morning alarm and the second an evening one, such as 19:00. For a number from 12 to 23, the suggestion is that exact hour.
- A one-day alarm rings once that day: "alarm Friday at 7", "tomorrow at 6".
- "every Tuesday", "Tuesdays", "weekdays" and "daily" will repeat it.
- "every 2 days", "every other day" and "every 3 weeks" repeat it every few days, offering each possible first day. See every few days.
